Integrating your Employee LMS with Glean AI streamlines the way Learners can access and manage learning resources. By connecting Glean to the ELMS, you can provide seamless access to content in Libraries to make it easier for your Learners to find valuable courses from WorkRamp. This integration enhances accessibility, ensures secure user authentication, and allows for a more cohesive learning experience. In this article, we’ll explore the key benefits of integrating your ELMS with Glean and how it can make it easier for your Learners to access trainings.

Set Up

In Glean

Before you setup the integration in WorkRamp, you will need to setup the Data Source in Glean.

When setting up the Data Source, you will enter a unique name for the source - you can either call this WorkRamp or however you refer the the Employee LMS in your organization.

The Data Source Category will be "Knowledge Base"

The URL Regex will be "^https://*.app.workramp.*/*"

The Object Types information will be populated by WorkRamp.

In WorkRamp

Once the Data Source is created, you will setup the integration in WorkRamp

To get started with the integration, you will first need to enable the integration by going to Settings >> Integrations in the Admin Console. You will find Glean under "Content."

In the Glean Integration page, select "Enable."

You will be asked to enter your API Token, Glean Domain, and Data Source name in order to establish the integration.

The API Token can be found in your Glean Admin Dashboard

  1. Go to your Glean Admin Dashboard.

  2. Navigate to Settings > API Access.

  3. Generate a new Token

  4. Copy and securely store the API token, as it will only be shown once.

  5. Paste into the API Token field in WorkRamp

The Domain can be found in the URL to your account.

The Data Source will be the Unique Name you created when you setup the Data Source in Glean (steps outlined at the beginning of this article).

Select Libraries to Sync

Once you have entered all the integration setup fields, you can now select the Libraries you want to give your users access to. All content in these libraries will by synced to your Glean account so your Learners can search for them. You can sync as many Libraries as you need. All Glean users will have access to the content in Libraries.

Note: Any content synced to Glean from your ELMS will be accessible to all Glean users. Do not add content to a Library synced to Glean if you do not want all users to be able to search for it.

Guides & Resources: All content is synced and searchable

SCORMs: Only titles and descriptions are synced and searchable

Once content is synced to Glean, users will now find WorkRamp content surfaced in the Glean search. If they are looking for WorkRamp content specifically, they can filter by the Data Source name you created.
