If the "Personalize" dropdown is enabled in a Guide, this will give you multiple options to consume Guide content based on your preference.

If an Admin enables all personalization options on a Guide, you will have the following options:

Coming soon!

  • Guide - This is the default setup where you interact with the guide as-is.

  • Podcast - Generate a podcast of the Guide content, where you can listen to a host and a guest discuss the contents of the Guide in detail via an audio overlay.

  • Read aloud - Generate a text-to-voice narration of the Guide content, where you can listen to a full narration of the Guide (excludes questions).

  • Reader mode - View a "print" version of the Guide that removes the sections and tasks to have one long read of the entire Guide contents.

Available now!

  • Translate this guide - Select from 49 different languages to translate the Guide content based on your language preferences.

*Note that these options are driven by WorkRamp Admins, so all options may not be available for each Guide.

Podcast and Read aloud

These options are AI-generated, and allow you to listen to the contents of a Guide if you prefer that format.

*Please note that in order to complete the Guide, you will still need to interact with the tasks, interactive elements, questions, etc. through clicking and typing, even if you've listened to the entire podcast or narration.

When selecting Podcast or Read aloud, the AI-powered audio generation will begin. You will note a toast message and a label next to the header indicating the generation.

Once a podcast or read aloud is generated, there will be a toast message letting you know that the generation is completed.

You'll note that the action next to Podcast and Read aloud will change from "Generate" to "Play" once they are generated. You can then click on either option to open the audio player.

The audio player opens as an overlay on top of the Guide. Click play, adjust volume, or even download the audio via this audio player. To go back to the Guide, simply click the [x] or click anywhere outside of the audio player.

Reader mode

Reader mode opens the "print" version of the Guide in a new tab, which removes the left navigation where the content is broken up by sections and tasks. This allows you to read the Guide from start to finish without having to click on each task.

Translate this Guide

WorkRamp's AI Assist can now be used to translate Guides into your language of choice.

When this is available for a Guide, there will be a Translation icon above the Title and Description of the Guide.

Clicking this icon will display a dropdown of the languages available. Currently, Guides can be translated to the following languages (49 total):

  • Arabic

  • Armenian

  • Bengali

  • Bulgarian

  • Burmese

  • Chinese

  • Croatian

  • Czech

  • Danish

  • Dutch

  • English

  • Estonian

  • Finnish

  • French

  • Georgian

  • German

  • Greek

  • Hebrew

  • Hindi

  • Hungarian

  • Indonesian

  • Italian

  • Japanese

  • Korean

  • Latvian

  • Lithuanian

  • Malay

  • Norwegian

  • Persian

  • Polish

  • Portuguese

  • Punjabi

  • Romanian

  • Russian

  • Serbian

  • Slovak

  • Spanish

  • Swahili

  • Swedish

  • Tagalog

  • Tamil

  • Telugu

  • Thai

  • Turkish

  • Ukrainian

  • Urdu

  • Vietnamese

  • Welsh

Selecting a language will prompt the translation to begin. A toast message will display as well as an indicator by the task header that the translation is in progress.

While the translation is in progress, you can continue to work on the Guide. When the translation is complete, a toast message will appear with a button to refresh the Guide into the new language.

Note: You may exit the Guide during the translation process. If the Guide is still translating when you re-visit it, the blue "Translating" indicator will continue to appear next to the task header. If the Guide is finished translating, selecting the language will allow you to refresh the Guide into that language.

If there was an error during the translation process, a toast message will appear indicating as such.

If you exit the Guide after the translation is completed, and re-visit the Guide, the Guide will remain in the selected language.

FAQs:

How long does it take for translations to complete?

The translation process can take at least a few minutes to complete. Guides with a large amount of content will take longer to translate.

Why did I get a "Translation failed. Please try again later." error?

The most common reason is the Guide may be too large.

What gets translated?

Any user-generated text within the Guide (text blocks, headers, descriptions, task titles, section titles, etc.). Embedded content, images, etc. will not be translated. Additionally, the UI surrounding the guide, like the Submit buttons, will not be translated with this functionality (this can be translated via default language settings in Account Settings).

I have a language other than English set as my default language setting via my Account Settings. Will Guides be automatically translated to my default language?

Not at this time. Currently, the translation language will need to be selected for each Guide.

What happens if I submit a task while a translation is in progress?

if you’re viewing a translated Guide, then request another translation and it's in progress when you submit/un-submit the task, you may see the Guide displayed in the original language rather than the language it was most recently translated to.
