In the Employee Learning Cloud, maintaining version control of your external training content is essential. The Download functionality allows Admins to retrieve the ZIP file of a previously uploaded SCORM module. This is particularly useful if the original source file has been lost locally or if you need to migrate content to another authoring tool for updates.
Admin Only: This feature is strictly restricted to users with full system Administrative permissions.
Standalone SCORM: This functionality applies only to standalone SCORM modules.
Exclusions:
Off-the-shelf (OTS) Content: You cannot download content from third-party providers such as GO1 or EasyLlama.
Legacy Guide Components: SCORM modules embedded as components within a Guide (Learning Path) are not supported.
Version History: Only the currently active version of the ZIP file can be retrieved.
How to Download a SCORM File
The download process varies slightly depending on when the SCORM file was originally uploaded to WorkRamp.
For Files Uploaded After March 10, 2026
For any SCORM modules uploaded on or after March 10, 2026, the download is instantaneous.
Navigate to the SCORM overview page for the specific module.
Open the three dots options menu.
Select Download. The ZIP file will begin downloading to your device immediately.
For Existing SCORM Files (Uploaded Before March 10, 2026)
Because older files require a retrieval process, these downloads follow a two-step workflow:
Navigate to the SCORM overview page for the specific module.
Open the three dots options menu.
Select Download
This will Initiate a request
Wait for Email: This triggers a background job to retrieve the file. You will receive an email confirmation once the file is ready.
Final Download: Click the link within the email to be directed back to the SCORM module overview page in WorkRamp. Click Download again to initiate the download.
Subsequent Access: Once this job has been run for a specific file once, the download will remain instant for any future attempts.
FAQ
Why don't I see the download option on my Guide? SCORM modules embedded within a "Guide" are considered legacy functionality and are not supported by this tool. Only standalone SCORM objects feature the download option.
Will this work for my GO1 courses? No. Download actions do not have the ability to access or retrieve content authored and managed by third-party providers like GO1 or EasyLlama. These must be managed within their respective third-party tools.
Can I download Guides as a SCORM file? No. Currently our Guides are not downloadable as SCORM objects, however we are working on adding this functionality in the future.
