Reporting on AI Simulations in WorkRamp

J
Written by Jon Low

AI Simulations assignment and completion data are held within WorkRamp's reporting suite, giving admins and managers multiple ways to track learner progress, scores, and engagement. This article covers each reporting surface where AI Simulation data appears.

When a learner completes an AI Simulation, WorkRamp automatically syncs the following data from the simulation platform:

Data Point

Description

Status

Not Started, In Progress, Completed, or Failed

Score

Numeric score from the simulation attempt

Completion %

Percentage of the simulation completed

Time Spent

Total time the learner spent in the simulation

Completed At

Timestamp of completion

AI Simulation Content Overview (Admin)

Every AI Simulation has its own Overview page. This is the primary place for admins to monitor a single simulation across all assigned learners.

Summary Stats Panel

At the top of the overview page, four headline metrics are displayed:

  • Assigned — Total number of learners assigned to this simulation

  • Overdue — Number of learners who have missed their due date

  • Completion Rate — Percentage of assigned learners who have completed

  • Average Grade — Mean score across all completed/failed attempts

Detailed Scores, Goals & Insights

Alongside the stats panel, a "Scores, Goals, Insights and more" link opens a full analytics view powered directly by the AI Simulations engine. This embedded report provides deeper analysis including individual attempt breakdowns, goal performance, and simulation-specific insights that go beyond what WorkRamp stores natively.

Assignment Table

Below the stats, the full assignment table lists every assigned learner with their individual:

  • Status (Not Started / In Progress / Completed / Failed)

  • Progress percentage

  • Score/grade

  • Due date

  • Completion date

  • and when it was Assigned

The table supports filtering, sorting, and bulk actions.

Manager Dashboard

Managers can view AI Simulation data for their direct reports from Overview > Manager Dashboard — alongside Guides and other learning content.

Team View

AI Simulations appear as a distinct content type in the team view. For each direct report, managers can see:

  • Completion Rate

  • Average Grade

  • Status — Not Started, In Progress, Completed, or Failed

Team Progress is reflected in the stacked bar chart alongside other learning objects

Individual Learner View

Clicking into a direct report shows their detailed AI Simulation stats:

  • Completion Rate

  • Average Grade

  • Failed count

  • Overdue count

Managers can drill into a specific simulation to see the learner's status, due date, completion date, grade, and time spent.

Sending Reminders

Managers can send email reminders to direct reports who have not started, are in progress, are overdue, or failed on an AI Simulation. A confirmation is shown to the manager after sending.

3. Admin Reporting — Report Builder

AI Simulation data is available in Report Builder via the Admin > Reporting > Report Builder.

  • AI Simulations will appear as a content type you can filter by — select "AI Simulations" from the Content Type filter dropdown

  • The content type label displays as "AI Simulations"

  • Reports include all standard assignment fields: learner name, content name, status, score, completion date, time spent, etc..

This allows admins to build custom exports that include AI Simulation completion data alongside other content types, or in isolation.

4. Admin Insights — AI Simulations Dashboard

A dedicated AI Simulations analytics dashboard is available at:

Admin > Insights > AI Simulations

This embedded dashboard shows all AI Simulations analytics view with no filters applied — giving a cross-simulation, organisation-wide picture of simulation performance. It is equivalent to the per-simulation analytics but scoped to all simulations in your account.

5. Analytics Studio

AI Simulation data is also available in our Analytics Studio.

  • AI Simulation results flow into the same content report used for other object types

  • You can filter by Content Type = AI Simulations to isolate simulation data

  • Combine AI Simulation completion and score data with other WorkRamp data for custom cross-content reports

Note: Analytics Studio access depends on your WorkRamp plan.

Tip: AI Simulation statuses in WorkRamp map as follows — Pass and Completed both show as Completed; Fail shows as Failed; Incomplete shows as In Progress; Not Attempted shows as Not Started.
