Improved Accessibility: WCAG 2.2 Compliance for Learner Portals

At WorkRamp, we are committed to ensuring that every learner can access and engage with training content without barriers. Following our previous initiative to meet WCAG 2.1 standards across all learner-facing portals, we have now updated these same areas to be WCAG 2.2 accessible. To find out more visit our accessibility statement (here)

These updates focus on improving navigation, interaction, and input for users with disabilities, ensuring our platform remains a leader in inclusive design.

Accessibility isn't a one-time project; it's a core part of how we build. By moving to WCAG 2.2, WorkRamp ensures your organization remains compliant with evolving international standards and legal requirements, while providing a best-in-class experience for your entire workforce.

New Updates: AI Simulations

We have expanded the capabilities of AI Simulations to ensure they function just like any other learning object within WorkRamp. These updates make it easier to reward learners, manage content, and track performance across the platform.

1. Assign Badges and Certificates

You can now incentivize and reward learners for completing AI Simulations. Just like with standard Guides or SCORM content, you can attach a custom badge or a downloadable PDF certificate to an AI Simulation. Once a learner achieves the required passing score or completion status, their badge will appear on their Learner Home page, and their certificate will be emailed to them automatically. (learn more)

2. Copying AI Simulations

To speed up your content creation workflow, AI Simulations can now be duplicated. If you have built a complex role-play scenario that you want to tweak for a different department or region, you can simply "copy" the simulation. This creates a clone of the original, allowing you to edit the persona or parameters without starting from scratch. (learn more)

3. Unassigning AI Simulations

Admins now have the flexibility to unassign AI Simulations from learners. If a training requirement changes or a simulation was assigned in error, you can remove the assignment via the learner's profile or the bulk assignment tool, ensuring your reporting and learner dashboards remain accurate.

4. Manager Dashboard Visibility

Managers can now view AI Simulation progress for their direct reports directly from the Manager Dashboard. This provides a high-level snapshot of who has started, completed, or is overdue on their simulation-based role plays. (learn more)

5. Direct Link to Insights

We’ve added a "Direct Link" within WorkRamps Insights page which takes you straight to the dedicated Insights dashboard within AI Simulations. This removes any filtering and jumps immediately into performance data, such as common feedback trends and average scores across all your AI Simulaitons. (learn more)

6. Report Builder Integration

AI Simulations are now a selectable data type in the Report Builder. You can create custom reports to track specific simulation metrics alongside your other training data.

look for "AI Simulations" in the content type filters. (learn more)

7. Analytics Studio Support

For deeper data exploration, AI Simulations have been added to Analytics Studio. You can now use natural language queries or custom visualizations to analyze how AI role plays are impacting your team’s readiness. Simulations will appear as a content category within the "Assignments" topic. (learn more)

8. Include in Workflows

AI Simulations are now compatible with WorkRamp Automations. You can trigger specific actions based on AI Simulation events—for example, automatically enrolling a learner in a "Level 2" Path once they pass their "Level 1" AI Simulation. (learn more)

9. Content Export Inclusion

When you export your training catalog via CSV, your AI Simulations will now be included in the list. This ensures your external records and audits have a complete view of all available training modules, including simulation-based content. (learn more)

10. Learner Bookmarking

Learners can now "bookmark" AI Simulations from their library. This allows them to easily save specific role-play scenarios for future practice or quick reference, appearing in their "Bookmarked" tab on the Learner Home. (learn more)

11. Salesforce Sync Integration

AI Simulations are now fully supported in the WorkRamp-Salesforce sync. If you use Salesforce to track your team's enablement, simulation data will now flow into your CRM automatically—no manual uploads required. (learn more)

Data synced to Salesforce:

  • User Info: Assignee name/email, Assigner email.

  • Milestones: Assigned date, completion date, and due date.

  • Performance: Passed status, percent complete, and score.

  • Metadata: Content ID and Training Type (clearly labelled as "AI Simulations").

  • Context: User groups, tags, and (coming soon) the specific Learning Path context.

12. Email Digest Updates

AI Simulations are now included in the daily and weekly Email Digests sent to Admins and Managers. They contribute directly to:

  • Team Completion Rates: Your aggregate completion percentages now reflect simulation progress.

  • Overdue Counts: If a learner misses a deadline for an AI Simulation, it will be flagged in the "Overdue Assignments" section of the digest. (learn more)

Folders for Groups

This release brings a long-requested quality-of-life upgrade for admins managing large learner populations: Folders for Groups. You told us the Groups page was getting hard to navigate, and we listened. Admins can now organise Groups into a flexible, nested folder hierarchy — making it faster and more intuitive to find, manage, and export the groups that matter.

Folders for Groups is a new organisational layer on the Admin Groups page. Admins and users with Groups Management permission can now create named folders — and nest folders inside other folders — to structure groups in whatever way makes sense for your organisation. Each folder row displays at-a-glance counts of the total members and total rules contained across all of its nested content, so admins always know what’s inside without having to open it.

The Groups page also gains three new navigation views alongside the main folder tree:

  • Recent tab showing the groups the current admin has accessed most recently

  • Created by Me tab that filters to folders and groups the current user owns

  • Full cross-level search bar that returns matching folders and groups at any depth.

You asked, we listened. As group lists grew, the flat single-page layout made it increasingly hard for admins to stay organised — search alone wasn’t enough. Folders for Groups gives teams the same structured, folder-based experience they already enjoy in Report Builder, applied directly to Groups. Whether you manage ten groups or ten thousand, you can now build a folder structure that reflects your organisation, find what you need instantly, and spend less time scrolling.

How to use it

Admins and users with Groups Management permission can manage folders from 'Admin' > 'Groups'.

  • To create a folder: select 'New Folder' from the Groups page. Enter a name and save. Folders can be created at the top level or inside an existing folder.

  • To rename a folder: open the kebab menu (⋮) on the folder row and choose 'Rename'.

  • To move a folder or group: open the kebab menu (⋮) and choose 'Move'. A tree picker opens — select the destination folder, or create a new folder on the fly and move straight into it.

  • To delete a folder: open the kebab menu (⋮) and choose 'Delete'. A confirmation warning will appear, noting that all contents will be permanently removed.

  • To view recently accessed groups: select the 'Recent' tab in the left-hand navigation.

  • To view groups and folders you created: select the 'Created by Me' tab.

  • To search across all folder levels: use the search bar at the top of the Groups page.

  • To export groups within a folder: navigate into the folder and use the 'Export CSV' action to download a list of the groups it contains.

New feature — Content Folder & Library API Enhancements

What it is

We've added three new API capabilities that give developers programmatic control over content folder permissions and library access:

These endpoints give developers the tools to automate content access workflows end-to-end — assigning folder permissions and controlling library visibility without any manual steps in the admin UI. Library IDs can now be resolved via API, removing a previous manual lookup step.

How to use it

Full API documentation will be available on the WorkRamp developer portal once live. Reach out to your Learning Pool contact for early access details.

1. Delete a Content Folder

A new DELETE /api/v1/item_folders/{id} endpoint mirrors the existing UI behaviour for removing a content folder. The API returns a 409 Conflict if the folder is non-empty or referenced by active workflows, and a 403 Forbidden if the folder is locked.

2. Manage Folder Permissions

The existing PATCH /api/v1/item_folders/{id} endpoint now accepts a permissions parameter, allowing developers to assign users and groups to a folder with a specific role in one call:

"permissions": {

"users": [{ "id": 8228, "role": "full_editor" }],

"groups": [{ "id": 3212, "role": "read" }]

}

Valid roles: full_editor, limited_editor, edit, assign, read

Important behaviour:

  • Providing permissions replaces all existing folder permissions

  • Passing an empty permissions object clears all permissions

  • Omitting permissions entirely leaves existing permissions unchanged

3. Get Libraries

Two new read endpoints make it possible to look up library IDs programmatically, without needing to check the admin UI:

  • GET /api/v1/elc/universities — returns a paginated list of all libraries (includes id, name, group_ids, user_ids, is_private, and more)

  • GET /api/v1/elc/universities/{id} — returns a single library by ID

Note: WorkRamp uses "university" and "library" interchangeably in the API, consistent with existing endpoints.

4. Manage Library Access

A new PATCH /api/v1/elc/universities/{id} endpoint lets developers control who has access to a library:

{

"is_public": true,

"users": [8228, 5555],

"groups": [3212, 1272]

}

Important behaviour:

  • Providing users and/or groups replaces existing access

  • Passing an empty array removes all users/groups from the library

  • Omitting a field leaves it unchanged

Folders to Segments

This release brings a long-requested quality-of-life upgrade for admins managing large learner populations: Folders for Segments. You told us the Segments page was getting hard to navigate, and we listened. Admins can now organise Segments into a flexible, nested folder hierarchy — making it faster and more intuitive to find, manage, and export the Segments that matter.

What it is

Folders for Segments is a new organisational layer on the Admin Segments page. Admins can now create named folders — and nest folders inside other folders — to structure Segments in whatever way makes sense for your organisation. Each folder row displays at-a-glance counts of the total members and total rules contained across all of its nested content, so admins always know what’s inside without having to open it.

The Segments page also gains three new navigation views alongside the main folder tree:

  • Recent tab showing the Segments the current admin has accessed most recently

  • Created by Me tab that filters to folders and Segments the current user owns

  • Full cross-level search bar that returns matching folders and Segments at any depth.

You asked, we listened. As Segments lists grew, the flat single-page layout made it increasingly hard for admins to stay organised — search alone wasn’t enough. Whether you manage ten Segments or ten thousand, you can now build a folder structure that reflects your organisation, find what you need instantly, and spend less time scrolling.

How to use it

Admins can manage folders from 'Contacts' > 'Segments'.

  • To create a folder: select 'New Folder' from the Segments page. Enter a name and save. Folders can be created at the top level or inside an existing folder.

  • To rename a folder: open the kebab menu (⋮) on the folder row and choose 'Rename'.

  • To move a folder or Segment: open the kebab menu (⋮) and choose 'Move'. A tree picker opens — select the destination folder, or create a new folder on the fly and move straight into it.

  • To view recently accessed Segments: select the 'Recent' tab in the left-hand navigation.

  • To view groups and folders you created: select the 'Created by Me' tab.

  • To search across all folder levels: use the search bar at the top of the Segments page.

  • To export groups within a folder: navigate into the folder and use the 'Export CSV' action to download a list of the Segments it contains.
