The Advanced Search functionality helps Learners locate content they have access to, and filter results to find content with certain parameters. The content discovered here is that which is available to Learners either through an assignment, or if it is stored in a Library they have access to.

Start by using the search bar at the top of your dashboard and press enter or click the controls icon to enter advanced search.

The Advanced Search page has four filters: tags, content type, a date filter (defaults to all time) and updated by (if you know who last published the content). It also allows you to sort by relevance, or the last updated date.

Results include snippets that match the query, with query terms that match content highlighted.

Your search can also include: Keywords, tags, titles, text in tasks, and searches through the following documents that have been uploaded, ‘.txt’, ‘.pages’, ‘.numbers’, ‘.key’, ‘.odt’, ‘.ods’, ‘.odp’, ‘.rtf’, ‘.html’, ‘.xml’, ‘.doc’, ‘.ppt’, ‘.xls’, ‘.pdf’, ‘.docx’, ‘.pptx’, ’.xlsx

FAQ

  1. Will I be able to search for content that is embedded in a Guide, Resource, etc?

    1. No - this is a technical limitation not unique to WorkRamp, whereby content that is embedded is not indexed and therefor not searchable on the platform it is embedded on. Generally, the iframe or embedded content is a shortcut to seeing the content in another place, but without a deep integration, the contents from the source file will not be scraped and therefor not searchable.

  2. What content shows up in the Search?

    1. Guides, Resources, Paths, Challenges, Events (not including Sessions) and Libraries are available in the employee learning cloud search

    2. Content must be available to the Learner via:

      1. Assignment

      2. Library

      3. Public event
