What is an Event?
An Event is an instructor-led training session for your Learners. Within Events, you can manage registration and attendance.
As a part of our Events feature, you can add Events to Paths. After adding an Event to a Path, you can require attendance to be verified for the session the user is enrolled in before it is marked as completed in their Path. If this is not enabled, the Event will be marked as completed in the Path once the Learner has registered an Event Session and the session has concluded.
Please note that if "Path has to be completed in order" is enabled for the Path, the Learner will not be able to proceed to the next training until the Event is marked as completed.
If you would like for users to be auto-registered for the next upcoming Session after being assigned the Path, navigate to the Event editor page and enable "Auto-register Learner for next available session within Path assignments."
Note: This feature is only available for standard Events, not Event Series.
Here is an example of how the Path will appear to the user.
Clicking into the Event in the Path will bring the Learner to the Registration Page. Once registered for an Event session, the user can use the backlink on the top left to go back to the Path overview page, or use the link on the top right to navigate to the next item in their Path.
Here is an example of the Session Registration Email the user will receive. The Learner can use the links in this email to add the session to their respective calendar.
