Thinking about utilizing manually graded questions such as text answer or file upload in your Academy courses? Now, you can review and score those questions in addition to using auto-graded questions.
To enable manual grading on your guide, you must first configure the Guide settings by heading to the Edit view on your guide, clicking Guide Settings, and select Later, after manual review.
Using the Academies Gradebook
The new Gradebook page in Academies is designed to easily review, grade and provide feedback on Guide submissions at scale, without the need to grade each guide one-by-one on a per-Contact basis.
To access the Gradebook, navigate to your Academy > Enrollments > Gradebook
The Gradebook page will display all Guide submissions, and is filtered into 3 distinct status tabs:
Pending Review - guide submissions that have not yet been graded
Graded - guide submissions that have been graded
All Submissions - combines all 'pending review' and 'graded' submissions
Grading Submissions and Leaving Feedback
Each block under the Questions section can be expanded, and is organized by individual Guide Submission, to allow you to grade multiple Contacts' submissions from a single view.
To grade submissions, simply expand the Question block, provide a grade of 'Correct' or 'Incorrect', and click 'Submit Grade'.
You can also provide detailed feedback on each submission that will be available for the Contact to review once grading is submitted. To leave feedback, click the 'Give Feedback' button, type your message, and click out of the feedback pop-up.
Once submitted, that grade is recorded and will be visible to the Contact.
Managing Previously-Graded Submissions
You now also have the ability to review and edit previous grades, and revert previous grades back to 'Pending Review' status.
To do this, select either the 'Graded' or 'All Submissions' tab, expand the submission you wish to review/edit, and perform the desired action (adjust grade, give feedback, etc.).
You can also view the Submission in the context of the Guide view, access the Contact's profile page, or Revert the submission to 'Pending Review' by accessing the overflow (three dots) menu at the top-right of each submission:
Using Gradebook Filters
If you are looking to grade/review only a specific subset of Guide submissions, you can use the Filters at the top of the page to narrow the scope of visible submissions.
Available filters:
Training - this will allow you to filter by specific Guide titles
Contact Name - this will allow you to filter down to a specific user(s)
Segment - this will allow you to filter down to a specific segment(s)
You can also click "+Add Filter" and additionally filter submissions by the Submission Date (helpful for finding any submissions that have been in Pending Review status for long durations).
Learners 'My Results' Page
With the update to the Gradebook, Contacts will now be able to see their grade and feedback through a new 'My Results' page.
This is accessible to the Learner when clicking 'Review' from the Guide Overview page > clicking 'My Results' in the left-hand nav within the Guide view:
This page will display graded question results, feedback, and top-level stats for that Guide.
Grading a Single Contact's Guide (Legacy process)
Head to Enrollments > Training Enrollments in Academies and click on the guide. Open the course to see which user requires grading under the 'Action' column:
To review guide submissions for guides that don't require grading, click on the dropdown menu and select View Submissions to open up the learner's submission
Navigate through the course to view the user's answers. For questions that need to be manually graded, there will be scoring options on the top right corner of the question.
