Before launching your Academy, it is important to set up your Registration fields and restrictions to ensure the right users can register and access your Customer LMS.

Getting Started

Click on the Settings Hub and select 'Registration.'

In the Registration and SSO section, you will need to determine whether you would like to have users log in via username and password or via SSO. If looking to setup SSO for your Academy, please see our help article.

Note: If you would like to allow users to register using either username + password or SSO, you can check the box for both registration options.

Next, you can set restrictions on what domains are allowed to be used during registration. These options can be used to discourage users from registering with their personal email accounts or block users who are not qualified to access your training content. Please make sure to list the domains without the @ symbol, such as workramp.com (not @workramp.com).

  1. Users that authenticate through SSO with the domains listed will be restricted from logging in

2. Admins will not be able to invite users with the domains listed below if this is enabled

3. Only users with corporate domains like @workramp.com can register to the Academy.

The Default Registration Fields that are enabled are Name, Email Address, and Password. Email is the only field that cannot be disabled.

In the Default Fields box, you will see that the Password field can be set to inactive. If the Password field is not active, the user will be sent a "magic link" to log in. To see an example of the magic link workflow, register for our WorkRamp Product Academy.

Here is an example of the email that is sent to users with the link to log in:

For your Registration Fields, you are not limited to the default registration fields and can use the [+Add New Registration Field] button to create custom registration fields to capture additional information from your customers. The Registration Field types that we have are Email Address, Password, Phone, Dropdown (list), Text, Text Area and Checkbox.
