As part of our Q4 release, we enabled you to create non-text string attributes with number and date formats. This will allow you to create Groups using user attributes like start date, performance rating, or myriad other date or number values.
Setting up Non-Text String Attributes
To create these custom user attributes, click on the Custom User Attributes" option on the Settings > Enterprise page.
For setting up dates, we require DD/MM/YYYY or YYYY/MM/DD formats.
Once these changes are made, logic operators in WorkRamp will adjust for that new format. For example, in setting up Groups, you will now have a set of logic operators that are relevant to dates and numbers such as "greater than" or "on or after".
Editing Existing Custom User Attributes
For existing custom user attributes, where data has already been populated. For example, before this release in Q4, you may have already synced user data for start date that is treated as text instead of a date format.
In order to change this, simply delete the custom user attribute. Then re-add the attribute using the same Display Name but change the Type to the desired type format.
Note: Changing the attribute type will require a resync of the data from your SSO platform to WorkRamp.
Provided below is an example to change Start Date from Attribute Type "Text" to "Date".
