Manager escalations are notifications that are sent to a Learner's manager. With this feature, you can escalate incomplete and overdue training reminders on mandatory trainings to managers and drive learners towards completion.
Manager Escalation Email Sample
Manager Escalation Emails were deliberately designed to balance involving managers without over-inundating their inboxes with reminder emails. For that reason, Manager Escalation Emails will receive separate batched emails for all their direct reports depending on whether the training is overdue or not.

Automated Manager Escalation Emails
For each automated reminder you have set up, you now have the option to send a Manager Escalation email at the same time by selecting the "Send notification to learner's manager" checkbox. You can set this for each reminder and it will apply globally for any assignment.

We recommend only setting these automated manager escalation emails for overdue reminders. For example, if after 7 days an assignment remains incomplete, selecting the "Send notification to learner's manager" can be a useful way to encourage completion.
Manual Manager Escalation Emails
For each manual reminder in any learner object, you now have the option to send a Manager Escalation email at the same time by selecting the "Notify recipients' manager(s)". This will then send a concurrent email to each direct reports' manager selected.
We recommend only sending these manager escalation emails when an assignment is overdue by more than 7 days.
Note: You can only send one reminder email to a user every 5 minutes. If you use the reminder option more than once in a 5 minute span to the same user, they will only receive the first reminder message.
