What is Zapier?
Zapier is an integration platform that hosts connections to 5,000+ apps like Hibob, Slack and Microsoft Teams. In minutes, you can set up automated workflows (called Zaps) to send data in and out of WorkRamp—no code required. See how you can leverage Zapier for WorkRamp at https://zapier.com/apps/workramp/integrations.
Prerequisites
A Zapier account (free plan available)
Your API Access "Bearer Token". To generate an API token, please follow the steps in our help article.
Accessing Zapier
You can connect to Zapier right within the WorkRamp interface, by navigating to Settings > Integrations > Zapier.
Browse popular zaps or search for applications that you would like to connect WorkRamp to within this interface, and create new zaps within this interface.
Click the "Log in" button from this page, to sign up or log in to your Zapier account:
If you have Zaps set up that include WorkRamp for the logged-in account, you will see them here, where you can also open and edit them:
You can also login or sign up for an account on zapier.com directly, and manage all your zaps to both WorkRamp and whatever other tools you use.

Building Zaps
User Type
The first step of each trigger or action will be a required field that specifies if the data being sent via the workflow will be for internal users of the Employee LMS or for external users of the Customer LMS. Choose Employee [internal] to work with user and assignment data for users of your Employee LMS.
For triggers and actions working with Employee data, fill in the relevant parameters. Use the “API Name” in the field on the left, which can be found under your Enterprise Settings > Custom User Attributes (i.e. app.workramp.com/admin/users/custom_attributes)
Ignore the Academy Id and any other parameters that are labeled for Customers.

FAQ
Q: The app that I want connect with is not on Zapier
A: WorkRamp is joining 5,000+ apps that are integrated on Zapier, yet that list is limited to those applications that have built an integration on that platform. We encourage you to reach out to the third party application to encourage them to build a Zapier app. There are some options for building a custom application or utilizing Webhooks by Zapier for custom zaps.
Q: The trigger and/or action I am looking for is not available in your integration
A: We have purposefully started small, and prioritized building triggers and actions with the most popular workflow functionality. Please reach out to support@workramp.com or your COM to put in requests for new triggers and zaps.
Notably not available at this time: Events triggers and actions
Q: I'm testing out a zap, why does the user and assignment data look unfamiliar?
A: When you first set up your Zap trigger, Zapier will attempt to find some existing data from your trigger app to use in the Zap. For example, if your trigger brings in data from a new assignment, Zapier will look in WorkRamp for a recent assignment, if none are found, you'll see test data such as "Guide 2 title". Please proceed with the configuration, as when the Zap is published, rest assured that real data will arrive in your destination app.
Also note that while we strive to have real data available for all triggers, not all of them are built this way - so test data may be the only data you will have to work with while building zaps.
Q: Should each of my admins have their own Zapier account?
A: We recommend using shared accounts for Zapier, such as a group or alias email address, so that all of your admins can create and manage your zaps in one place. When you log in to Zapier, you will only see the zaps that were created for the logged-in Account.
