We are excited to announce some new updates in the Customer Learning Cloud! Last year we introduced Custom Pages and since then we've been working to continue to improve the Admin Experience. We have brought back the Content tab and separated out task areas like content and page management to make it easier to find and access the tools you need in the Academy.

Video Walkthrough:

Content Management

Content Management is easier in the Academy with the return of the Content Tab! Here you will find a folder for each content type where you can create and manage Academy Content.

Create New Content

Create new Academy Content by clicking the "+Add" button in the left side panel and select the type of content you would like to create.

We've updated the Settings and Module pages across all content to make a more consistent experience across all content types. On the Settings page, manage the titles, descriptions, images, visibility, and ecommerce on your content.

Once your settings are complete, navigate to the "Modules" page from the navigation bar to add in content modules.

Once your content is setup, click the "Publish" button to set your content live for your Learners.

Theming Updates

In the Theming tab, you will now find 3 options: Theming Editor, Pages, and Text Overrides. The Theming tab allows you to customize the look and feel of the Academy for your Learners.

Theming Editor

The Theming Editor allows you to customize how your Academy looks so it is consistent with your brand. To simplify the Theming Editor, we have moved all Text Override fields out of the Theming Editor. You will find these overrides in 2 locations:

Page Titles, Page Description, and Navigation Titles

Previously, the Academy Name & Title were shown in the banner of the Collections and My Trainings pages and all other pages displayed their Content Name in the banner. You could also override Navigation Titles in the Theming editor as well.

Now, the Override Fields for Page Titles, Page Descriptions, and Navigation Titles are now managed on each Page. This allows you more customization options for how the pages look in the Academy. Your current settings will be moved to the new location and now you can manage page settings on each page.

For example, you can add your Academy's name & description in the Page Title & Page Description for your homepage and customize the Navigation Title to welcome your Learners to the Academy.

1. Page Name; 2. Page Description; 3. Navigation Title.

Text Overrides Page

Any other label overrides that previously lived in the Theming Editor can now be found on the Text Overrides page under the Theming tab.

Pages

Pages is where you can manage how your content is organized on Pages in the Academy.

Index Pages:

Every Academy has one Index Page per content type (Paths, Certifications, Collections, Events). Each page will contain all the articles of that content type in your Academy. Newly created content will automatically be added to the bottom of the "All" section of the page.

Each Index Page has a Featured and and All section. Content can be added to Featured by clicking the toggle in the "Featured" column.

On Index Pages, you can customize the following:

  • Page Title - This appears in the Banner of the page

  • Page Description - This appears in the Banner of the page

  • Navigation Title - This appears in the sub-navigation bar

  • Featured & All Section Titles

  • The order of content on the page

  • Visibility - You can hide this page from learners by clicking the "Unpublish" button at the top of the page.

Custom Pages:

Custom Pages allow you to mix and match content types on a page and build out sections to create dynamic learning experiences for your users.

On Custom Pages, you can customize the following:

  • Page Title - This appears in the Banner of the page

  • Page Description - This appears in the Banner of the page

  • Navigation Title - This appears in the sub-navigation bar

  • Sections - You can create and custom name as many sections as you need

  • Content - Mix and match content types and add content to sections to give your users what they need

  • URL Slug - In the Settings menu, customize the URL slug for the page address

  • Visibility - Customize who can access the page to create learning experiences for specific types of users

    • You can also hide any Custom Page by Unpublishing the page
