Content Metadata (Tags) is a system for tagging your Academy trainings and content to enable easier accessibility for Learners. This metadata will provide greater search accuracy, and enable Learners to filter content on your published Catalog page.

Creating Metadata Attributes & Values

Academy content metadata is broken up into Attributes and Values. Attributes act as categories, and Values are the individual metadata tags that can be applied to training content.

The first step is to create your metadata attributes and values. Once created, these values can be applied to individual content objects in your Academy.

To get started, navigate to the Customer Learning Cloud > Academy > Settings > Content Metadata

Click the "+ Add attribute" button and enter a Category Title to create your first Metadata Attribute.

Once the Attribute is created, click "+ Add value" to add individual tag values associated with that Attribute.

Examples of common Attribute and Values:

  • Learning Type (Attribute)

    • Course (Value)

    • Path

    • Certification

  • User Role

    • Admin

    • End User

  • Level

    • Beginner

    • Intermediate

    • Advanced

  • Product

    • Employee Learning Cloud

    • Customer Learning Cloud
