Please note AI Simulations is currently in beta.
AI Simulations is a practice environment built directly into WorkRamp, giving your learners a safe space to rehearse real-world conversations — sales pitches, customer escalations, coaching conversations — and get instant, feedback before they face the real thing.
Creating Simulations, assigning them to learners, managing permissions, and tracking progress can be done all from within WorkRamp.
Try AI Simulations
Get full access to AI Simulations directly within your WorkRamp instance — no sandbox, no limitations, 30 days free. Request a trial or speak to your Account Manager or Customer Success Executive for more information.
Getting Started
Once enabled, an AI Simulations tile will appear under Settings > Integrations > Content. Admins will also be able to create new AI Simulations from the Content pages.
Managing Access
From the AI Simulations tile on the integrations page, you can control who sees simulations in their Learner Home.
All learners - select Allow all users to access AI Simulations via Learner Home. This adds an AI Simulations item to the left-hand navigation for everyone to access all simulations.
Or use Specific users or groups - use Custom Permissions to restrict access to particular individuals or teams.
Note: We will soon be deprecating this level of access from the integration tile and it will be replaced by having the ability to add AI Simulations to Paths and Libraries
Creating a Simulation
Simulations are created directly from WorkRamp and built inside the AI Simulations engine.
To create a simulation, click the AI Simulations tile on the home page — this adds it to your general folder — or navigate into a specific folder and select 'Create New' to keep things organised from the start.
You'll be prompted to give the simulation a name, then taken directly into the AI Simulations wizard where you will be able describe the scenario you want to practice.
At this stage you can upload additional information to help facilitate your scenario (PDF, DOCX, CSV, XLSX, TXT, JPG, PNG · Max 20MB each), or company resources previously used in other Simulations.
You can also ask an experts within your company to provide more subject matter knowledge. This knowledge can be captured via an online form which gets automatically saved back to the Simulation or they can upload the document.
Finally you can also select the level of difficulty of the Simulation from Easy (Cooperative and open) to Expert (Aggressive objections and emotionally tense).
Once you click generate it will take about 1 minute for the AI Simulations engine to generate everything needed from descriptions, learning objectives, goals, the characters and background and even the safety Level - how strict should the conversation be.
At any point you can navigate through the different tabs at the top and customise the Simulation to your preference.
At any point you can return to the overview screen which will save your Simulation as a Draft.
Once you have finalised your Simulation, click Edit from the overview page and then select 'Save & Publish', this will now make it available for assignment.
Note: You must Publish your Simulation before you can assign it to learners
Assigning Simulations
Any WorkRamp Admin or Content Editor (permissions dependant) can create and assign simulations. A simulation must be Published before it can be assigned.
Navigate to the Simulation you wish to assign.
Click Assign from the overview page.
Add learners individually or Group.
Tip: AI Simulations has all the same options your accustom to working with another learning objects such as set a due date, custom message, or schedule the assignment.
Tracking and Managing Learners
The Simulation Overview page gives admins a real-time view of every assigned learner. From here you can:
Remind learners who haven't completed the simulation
Modify or remove due dates
Mark a simulation as Complete or Not Started manually
Unassign learners or archive the simulation when it's no longer needed
For deeper analysis, use AI Simulations Reporting and Insights, accessible directly from the overview page.
