SCORM, which stands for Shareable Content Object Reference Model,  is a set of technical standards for eLearning software products.

WorkRamp recommends the use of SCORM files with the following version: SCORM 2004 4th edition.

We currently use SCORM Cloud as our third-party service to manage and process SCORM modules. The current file size limit is 1GB.

When using a SCORM authoring tool, it can be a bit tricky to publish/export the course with the correct format/settings. Below are instructions for the most popular SCORM authoring tools.

Note: We highly recommend Admins and Editors to assign SCORM content to themselves and test it out before assigning it Learners.

Articulate Storyline 360

1. Click on Publish and enter in the appropriate title. Under “Output Options”, ensure “SCORM 2004” is selected and then click “REPORTING AND TRACKING”.

2. From the Reporting and Tracking Options, make sure “SCORM 2004” and “4th Edition” is selected. Enter in the appropriate Title and Identifier. Next to “Report status to LMS as”, we recommend either “Completed/Incomplete” if the SCORM Course does not have any quizzes/assessments or “Passed/Failed” if the SCORM Course does have a quiz/assessment in it.

3. From the Reporting and Tracking Options, select the “Tracking” tab from the left hand side. Here you have a couple of options in how progress and completion will be reported to WorkRamp. If you have quiz questions in your SCORM file and you would like to see users’ scores in WorkRamp, then you have to select the “Track using quiz result” option here. Otherwise, if you don’t care about reporting scores, then you can select one of the other two options. Depending on which one of the other two options you select, WorkRamp will see the SCORM file being completed either based on the number of slides viewed or based on some sort of trigger (e.g. user clicking on a “Complete Course” button inside the SCORM file).

Articulate Rise

The settings for Articulate Rise are very similar to the Articulate Storyline 360 with the exception of LMS: SCORM 1.2 and Reporting: Passed/Incomplete.
