This release is all about giving admins back their afternoons. You can now organize Automations and Workflows into folders, trigger instant actions when learners pass or fail, allow learners to self-mark Zoom attendance, and quickly reset Guides on the fly. Developer teams can also build faster with our brand-new Guides API.

On the Academy side, we’ve upgraded Collections, added cross-Academy previews so creators can test how Guides look anywhere, and placed the Annual Unique User (AUU) metric right where your contacts live.

And finally, Practice has rebuilt the authoring experience from the ground up, with more believable AI characters, finer control over how sessions run, and support for multiple languages.

Learn:Up

Folders for Automations

Automations in Learn:Up and Workflows in your Academy now live in folders. You can create folders, rename them, nest them inside one another, move Automations between them, and move whole folders around. A brand new sidebar gives you three ways in — everything at once, 'Recent', or 'Created by me' — and every folder shows how many Automations it holds, with sortable columns for both Automation and user counts.

Pass and Fail Triggers for Automations

Two new triggers — 'Passes content' and 'Fails content' — now sit alongside the existing 'Completes content' trigger. You can start an Automation the moment a learner passes or fails a Guide, a Path, an uploaded SCORM course, or a Challenge.

Finishing something and succeeding at it are two very different things, and until now an Automation couldn't tell them apart. That meant the learner who sailed through and the learner who didn't pass at all got exactly the same follow-up. Now you can handle them differently, while the learner that passes can move on. The learner that failed can be assigned a refresher course — automatically, without anyone having to sit and watch a report.

A Re-Worked Content Area

As an Admin when you land on the main content area, 'Assets', 'Tools' and 'Trash' are now links in the Content sidebar rather than items tucked away inside the 'Manage Content' dropdown. Trash has its own fixed home at the bottom of the sidebar, in exactly the same place on every Content page. A new 'Tools' page brings 'Find and Replace' and 'Export Content Catalog' together in one place, and 'Browse Template Marketplace' now sits in the 'Create New' section of the Content homepage.

Some genuinely useful tools were hiding behind a generic dropdown.

Guides API, Version 2 - Coming 18th September

A brand new version of our Guides API, rebuilt from the ground up. Version 2 lets you list and retrieve Guides, step through the content inside them, and read a learner's Guide assignments along with their progress through each individual step. Responses are consistent and paginated, and you can ask for extra detail — tags, skills, and everywhere a Guide appears across your Paths, Academies and Certifications — only when you actually need it.

Our original Guides API was built for a much simpler product and had been stretched a very long way. Version 2 gives teams building reporting dashboards, data warehouses and internal tools a clean and predictable foundation to work from — including, for the first time, full access to the content of a Guide step by step, covering every question and interaction type your authors use.

Once enabled, see the API documentation for the full list of endpoints and the options available on each.

Version 2 is being rolled out gradually. Contact your Customer Success Manager or Support to have it enabled for your account.

Version 1 continues to work exactly as it always has — nothing you have built today will stop working.

Further details: coming soon.

Resetting a Failed Guide

Admins can now reset a Guide that a learner has failed, giving them a clean second attempt. The Guide goes back to 'Not started', the learner's previous answers are cleared, and they can begin again from the beginning. Everything else the learner is working on is left completely untouched — including the other content in the same Path.

Until now there was no way to give someone another go at a single failed Guide, so admins were resorting to workarounds: duplicating the Guide, force-completing it, or removing it from the Path and adding it back. None of those were pleasant, and all of them left a mess behind. A learner who has a bad day, or who was tripped up by a question that has since been rewritten, can now simply be given a fresh start in a couple of clicks.

Zoom Auto Attendance Without the Trade-off

Automatic Zoom attendance tracking and learner self-reported attendance now work side by side. Previously, adding a Zoom meeting link to a session meant switching on automatic tracking, which meant learners couldn't manually mark themselves as attended.

Automatic tracking is wonderful right up until someone dials in by phone, joins from a shared meeting room, or drops out and comes back under a slightly different name this resulted in a learner who genuinely attended as being marked absent with no way to override. Now Zoom does the heavy lifting and your learners can still raise a hand for the awkward cases, which means far less time spent correcting attendance records by hand.

A Direct Link to Perform

If you purchase our sister product ‘Perform’ our performance management product you will now have the ability to turn on a new 'Performance' link in the main navigation. This takes you straight to Perform. Admins will find it at the end of the navigation bar, and learners at the bottom of their sidebar.

For customers using both products, moving between learning and performance meant a saved bookmark or a second browser tab. It's a small change, but it's the first step towards joining the two together properly — and it means goals, development and reviews are never more than one click away from the training that supports them.

Skills in Analytics Studio

Say goodbye to typing out the exact same reporting requests over and over. With AI Skills in Analytics Studio, you can now save your most frequent data requests as reusable commands. Think of a Skill as a repeatable recipe for your reports—rather than just saving a static snapshot of your data, it saves the logic behind it.

Whether you're pulling monthly completion rates, scanning for data anomalies, or checking cohort progress, you can now just ask for your report by name. You can build a Skill from scratch, upload a file, or simply tell the Omni AI assistant to "turn this into a Skill" during a chat. Plus, unlike standard saved reports, Skills are dynamic—they can ask you for specific inputs (like "which team?") before pulling fresh data. It's a smarter, faster way to get exactly what you need.

Academy

Enhanced Collections in Academies

We’ve updated Collections to give Academy admins a more flexible content structure, expanded item support, and a streamlined editing interface.

  • Sections: Group content into custom, named sections (e.g., "Getting Started" or "Advanced Topics") with dedicated title and description fields. Sections and items can be reordered easily with Move up / Move down. Existing collections are automatically migrated into a default section.

  • More Content Types & Nesting: Add Certifications, Paths, Events, and Other Collections (nested collections) directly to your collections alongside Guides, Resources, and SCORM files.

  • Custom Collection URLs (Slugs): Customize your Collection’s URL path directly from the refreshed Settings screen.

  • Refreshed Settings & Asset Uploads: Updated metadata controls and media slots for Banner Image, Card Image, and Meta Image.

  • Visual Content Thumbnails: Content items now feature thumbnails displaying custom card artwork or content-type default images for quick visual recognition.

Annual Unique Users on the Contacts Page

The Contacts page in your Academy now shows an 'Annual Unique Users' figure alongside 'Total Contacts', 'Active Contacts' and 'Deactivated Contacts'. It counts the individual people who have been active in your Academy at any point in the last twelve months, matched on email address so nobody is ever counted twice.

Annual Unique Users is the number that matters for your Academy plan, and until now the only way to see it was to ask us. Having it sit alongside your contact totals means Academy admins can keep an eye on usage as it happens, spot growth early, and come to renewal conversations looking at exactly the same figure we are — no ticket required.

Folders for Workflows

Workflows in your Academy now live in folders. You can create folders, rename them, nest them inside one another, move Workflows between them, and move whole folders around. A brand new sidebar gives you three ways in — everything at once, 'Recent', or 'Created by me' — and every folder shows how many Workflows it holds, with sortable columns for both Workflows and user counts.

Last Active Date in the Academy Contacts API

The Academy contacts API (Get Contacts) now returns a last active date for every contact, showing the last time that person did something in your Academy. It's included everywhere contacts are returned — the full list, a single contact, and whenever a contact is created or updated.

Customers building their own dashboards, or syncing Academy data into a CRM, told us they could see who their contacts were but not who was still turning up. This is the same date that sits behind the Contacts report in your Academy, so what you pull through the API will always agree with what your team sees on screen — no reconciling two different numbers.

Practice

A Brand New Authoring Experience

We've rebuilt Practice's authoring wizard from the ground up. Setting up a simulation is now a smoother, more guided walk through three steps - Set the Scene, Success Criteria, and Character - with clearer fields at every stage.

Scoring gets a proper overhaul too: choose from four scoring methods (Pass/Fail, 1/5/10, Rubric scale, or Graded 0–100%), with a Required toggle to flag must-hit criteria and a new Session Rules section for setting the ground rules up front. You can also control whether learners see their goals sidebar during the session.

Authoring used to mean stitching together a lot of moving parts, some of which mattered less than they looked like they did. This redesign strips it back to the fields that actually shape the simulation, so what you build in the wizard is exactly what your learners experience. Success Criteria now has its own prompt box, with an upload option so you can hand off document-based inputs instead of writing everything out by hand - cutting down on manual work.

Smarter, More Believable Characters

Characters in Practice now behave more like real people. Their personality and backstory stay fixed throughout a simulation, while their mood on any given day can shift, so the same character can bring a different energy to different scenarios, just like people do. You can also give a character something they're holding back, so learners have to actually ask the right questions to get to it, rather than everything being volunteered upfront. Finding the right voice is quicker too, with filters for things like age, accent, and tone instead of scrolling a flat list.

Simulations feel more natural when the character reacts like a person would, not like a script. This means less time hunting for the right voice and less awkwardness when a character says something it shouldn't have known yet.

More Control Over How Sessions Run

Admins now have finer control over how a simulation plays out. Set a hard time limit with no grace period, cap how many attempts a learner gets, and choose whether learners see their live progress during the session or only find out how they did at the end.

Some learners do better with a clear runway and no safety net; others get distracted chasing a score in real time. These settings let you shape the experience to fit how your teams actually learn.

Multi-language Support for Practice

Practice simulations can now run in multiple languages, with learners choosing their language right from the intro modal. Admins control which languages are available for the simulations in Set The Scene.

Building a simulation shouldn't mean building it again for every region. With multi-language support, the same simulation can now reach learners in the language they're most comfortable in. Don't see a language you need? Get in touch - additional languages are available on request.

Learn:Up

WorkRamp MCP

WorkRamp’s Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server bridges the gap between your training material and your AI assistants (LLMs like Claude or ChatGPT) to securely read, search, and navigate your complete library of WorkRamp guides and assignment data.

Reset SCORM Progress

Admins will soon be able to reset a learner's SCORM progress themselves. Status, score, completion date and time spent are all cleared, so the learner can retake the course without a reassignment or a support ticket.

Practice

Global Settings

Build once, reuse everywhere. A Character Library, Success Criteria Bank, and Shared Resource Library let any simulation pull from what you've already built - no more copying and pasting the same character or rubric into every new one.
